Marquette Regional History Center Wedding // Sarah & Nick
I met Nick at the bank. I was trying to get questions answered about my business account and he was the banker with all the answers. It was then when he learned about my photography business and he and Sarah took a chance and met with me. Since then, they have invited Grant and me to countless outings including our engagement photo hike! Getting to know Sarah and Nick has been wonderful. They are two of the most generous people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing! I am so grateful for their gregariousness and am inspired by all the time they spend outdoors together - and with their dog, Leda, too! :D
To better describe the FEELING of a wedding day, I have started to ask brides about their favorite wedding day moments. Being recently married myself, I have enjoyed reflecting on my wedding day and it has been wonderful to hear what sticks out to my brides as they remember their day. Although I'm realizing it's a hard question to answer! Haha! I asked Sarah what her top three favorite parts/moments were from her wedding day. This was her answer:
1. Being surrounded by love and having so many friends and family in Marquette.
2. My uncle bringing me to tears and laughter with his sermon.
3. The way Nick looked at me.
Ahhh, I love it!
I am so grateful that Grant and I had the opportunity to photograph Sarah and Nick's gorgeous wedding. They had so many details that were personal to them including using postcards with their adventuring photos as their escort cards as well as having a beer on tap that they BREWED WITH BLACKROCKS specifically for their wedding! It was called "Something Blonde, Something Brewed"! Congratulations Nick and Sarah - your wedding was so fun and meaningful!
Her late grandmother's tea cups.
Thank you Grant for hanging out with the dudes!
Of course Marquette couldn't be trusted to be WARM in August! That's why you have bridesmaids to keep each other warm, right?
I'm so glad we got to see Leda on the wedding day!!
It was raining... but these two were troopers!!
