Northern Michigan Wedding // Rachel & Jim
Rachel was one of the first friends I made when I came to Northern Michigan University as an art student. Now she is the successful business owner of Ihana Jewelry and is super married! I was so honored she hired me to photograph her wedding and it was every bit as artistic and detail oriented as she is. Everything about her wedding day was unique and personal (the way I like it!), beginning with having the wedding in the yard of a beach house on Lake Superior to having a dress HANDMADE for her by Tashina Lee Emery to making all her own decorations. The wedding was seriously one of a kind! *praise hands emoji*
When I asked Rachel what her favorite part about the wedding day was, she had a hard time answering - in a good way! "My favorite physical thing of the whole day was my dress. I just loved everything about it because I picked it all out. I also loved the ceremony music and location and all of my reception decor. And my photographer!! And our food. When I look back I think my favorite part of the day was the ceremony. Being a Christian I knew that we became one in His eyes and I know that marriage is the most special bond there is."
