Sophie and Josh were one of the first Sabrina Leigh... SLS... loveleigh (I'm still coming up with the right term) couples ever! Their winter wedding in 2015 launched Sabrina Leigh Studios to become the business it is today. I have so much appreciation for their trust in me so early in my business.
These two are so cool. They spent the last year living in Germany and traveling around Europe. So casual... aka I'm super jealous. They have since moved back to Marquette where they went to school and wanted me to photograph them in their new chapter, with their fur children.
Fun Fact - I knew Josh in high school and when he came to tour NMU, I took him and his dad around Marquette. We hiked Sugarloaf and ate at the Pasta shop... I like to take credit for him falling in love with the area and deciding to come to NMU haha!
This session was the best because A) taking photos with pets (especially cats) is hilarious! Josh and Sophie had the best attitude about it too - we were cracking up the entire time. B) These two are so outgoing and adventurous! They wanted to go to Wetmore Landing, but when I heard they hadn't been to Hidden Beach they were totally game for hiking further and even ran off trail to climb intriguing rocks along the way. It was just fun as well as beautiful.
More adventurous couples who like to hike please. :D
P.S. Anniversary Sessions are amazing. You don't need human children (or fur children) to do a session after you're married! Your love doesn't stop after the wedding! PSA - Take time to get pictures with your loved ones to remember this unique time in your life.
